In ]performance s p a c e [’s first year of opperation the organisation held a fundraising event entitled, B E Y O N D N E C E S S I T Y. The aim was to kickstart the sustainability of the artist-led organisation.
]ps[ directors Bean and Benjmain Sebastian invited Alastair MacLennan to create a new, site specific, live installation. Around the Central staircase of the warehouse, MacLennan created a cage within a cage and performed within in for two hours, an remarkably short duration for MacLennan.
