Developing Your Creative Practice (October 2025 - October 2026)
I am very grateful to share that I have been awarded Arts Council England funding through the Developing Your Creative Practice grant stream. This grant will support a year-long period of research and development, including artist residencies, studio-based practice, and mentorship with both artists and curators.
Alongside this, I will be working closely with both Mine Kaplangı and Giulia Casalini throughout the project - who will work with me to develop a personal access rider, support the delivery of the project and build new professional relationships and future exhibition opportunities.
Looking ahead to 2026, I have already secured a residency at TANKS Arts Centre in Cairns (6th–26th April), as well as two exhibitions: Joana Cifre Cerdà, Fabiola Paz & Benjamin Sebastian at VSSL Studio in London (3rd–26th April) and Cartographies of Otherness (Mauricio Esquivel, Vaida Tamoševičiūtė & Benjamin Sebastian) at Meno Parkas Galerija in Kaunas (1st–30th November). I’m excited to see what further opportunities and collaborations will unfold during this period.
Throughout this R&D, I will continue to deepen my artistic research into decoloniality at the intersections of neurodivergence, queerness, and British/Australian settler-colonialism.
