On the 4th and 5th of February 2011, ]performance s p a c e [ opened its doors for the first time and in collaboration with ArtEvict and drew the attention of the UK's art scenes. ArtEvict was a monthly performance art platform that took place in squatted and abandond buildings across London. The founding directors of ]perfromance s p a c e [ met as artists through this platform.
]ps[+++ArtEvict was the inaugural live programme at ]performance s p a c e [ and shocased a dynamic breadth of performance art parctices from durational & group action works to intimate & one-to-one performances. The curatorial intention was to situate ]ps[ as an international hub for performance art(ists) and showcase the medium in as integral a way as possible.
